Beyerdynamic Expands Its PRO Portfolio With The DT 770 PRO X

Heilbronn, 06 May 2025 – With the DT 770 PRO X, beyerdynamic is permanently expanding its headphone portfolio. Originally developed as a limited special edition to celebrate the company’s 100th anniversary, the model is now offered as a permanent part of the PRO series due to high demand. The DT 770 PRO X combines the sonic and design characteristics of the DT 770 PRO with modern features for the demands of current production workflows.

A studio icon redefined

For over four decades, the DT 770 PRO has been considered a benchmark in recording and monitoring. Its balanced sound, robust construction, and exceptional comfort have established it in countless studios and among professional users – from sound engineers and producers to artists of various genres, such as Paul McCartney, Sting, Ed Sheeran, and Taylor Swift.

With the increasing digitalization of audio production – for example through software-supported workflows, hybrid studio setups or mobile bedroom producing – the requirements for studio headphones have evolved. The DT 770 PRO X was consistently tailored to this: flexible in use, compatible with a wide range of devices, and consistently designed for professional precision.

Technical development for current workflows

Based on the proven concept of the DT 770 PRO, the DT 770 PRO X has been specifically further developed. The STELLAR.45 driver system ensures high-resolution sound reproduction across a wide frequency range. The 48-ohm impedance allows for use with professional audio interfaces as well as mobile devices without compromising sound quality. The detachable 3-meter mini-XLR cable supports flexible working – for example, when quickly switching between different production environments.

“With the DT 770 PRO X, we have brought our studio classic into today’s production reality – without compromising on sound, comfort, or quality.” – Kevin Nietsch, Product Manager PRO Audio Products.

User-oriented design for everyday studio use

For long-term use, the DT 770 PRO X was equipped with a replaceable, padded headband including an ergonomic recess. Velour ear pads offer excellent wearing comfort even during long sessions. The sturdy spring steel construction ensures consistent contact pressure and high durability for daily use.

Made in Germany – For professional demands

Like all models in the PRO series, the DT 770 PRO X is manufactured in Germany. The focus is on durability, repairability, and sonic reliability – qualities that professional audio engineers around the world have associated with beyerdynamic for decades. The DT 770 PRO X represents the continuous development of a classic – adapted to the demands of today’s production realities.
